
New ÖBB office in Bucharest
The ÖBB Rail Cargo Group has leased 600 m² of office space in the ‘Business Garden Bucharest’, marking a strategic move for the firm in Romania.
With operations in 18 countries and 5,912 logistics professionals handling over 78 million t of freight annually, the company aims to strengthen its presence in the region. The new office is in line with ÖBB Rail Cargo Group’s sustainability objectives.
“Bucharest provides an ideal location from where we can expand our vision,” said Mădălin Ionescu, the managing director of the company’s Romanian subsidiary. “The ‘Business Garden Bucharest’ meets our sustainability requirements, offering a modern, energy-efficient workspace,” she added.
The office complex features energy-saving systems and water-saving technologies. It also offers various amenities, including outdoor relaxation areas and sports facilities. Facility manager Vastint Romania’s leasing manager, Dorin Caplea, highlighted steady demand for space in the centre. (js)
