New locations in Mainland China

Logistics services provider Rhenus has extended its presence in China by establishing a new branch in Zhuhai. The city is home to China's second-largest port and has been playing a major role in China's belt and road initiative since the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone (GPFTZ) Hengqin Area came into operation in 2015.

Designated as one of China's first special economic zones and home to over 2,200 mostly tech enterprises, further development plans have been announced for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The new branch will offer, amongst others, warehousing solutions for customers using the Macau International Airport and Hong Kong Airport. The location, under the guidance of Cliff Xu, CEO of Rhenus Air & Ocean Greater China, is another step before the next Rhenus branch to open in Macao in 2022. (sh)
