New LNG-hybrid vessels for NYK Line
Swiss marine power company Win GD has supplied dual-fuel X-DF2.0 engines to power two newly delivered car carriers for the Japanese shipping company NYK Line. The engines will be 40% more energy efficient than conventionally fuelled ships in NYK Line’s fleet.
With the integration of two-stroke marine engine controls - called X-EL energy management - into their power supply system, the ships will benefit from electrification to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.
