New IT system for Bremen port railway
The port of Bremen’s railway is to get a new modular IT system that will optimize train and wagon movement planning and scheduling.
From autumn 2020, users will be able to use a customer portal to obtain information about port railway operations, record and track orders, as well as view the current status of the trains. Terminals will be given the opportunity to coordinate planned loading times with the port railway and to report the loading/unloading status.
Shunting service providers will be provided with data about planned shunting movements and they will be able to exchange information about terminal operations with the port railway. (ben)
