New Eurasian train via Poland/Belarus border crossing
Jointly with Belintertrans-Germany and with the assistance of the Belorussian Railways, UTLC has introduced an additional container train route via the Kuznitsa/ Bruzgi (Poland/Belarus) border crossing. The first container train departed from the Lodz, Poland, on this route and arrived 14 days later in Chengdu Station, China.
The container train carried 41 40” containers with assembled cargo. The train passed freely to Bruzgi station, where transhipment onto broad-track railcars was carried out promptly and without any delays. About 30 trains will run along the new route per month at the beginning, and the frequency will subsequently be increased, said UTLC. (ben)
