New CEP warehouse in Bratislava
Courier services provider DPD, which is owned by Geo Post /La Groupe La Poste, has opened a new branch in Slovakia close to Bratislava Airport. Parcels from all over Slovakia will be handled in the new sorting facility. All deliveries are to be carried out by electric vehicles – as from 2025.
For DPD, this is the largest investment into its Slovakian transport network to date, reaching a total of EUR 20 million. The new site has a surface area of roughly 28,000 sqm, with the warehouse measuring around 7,000 sqm. The company reported that the facility can process up to 10,000 parcels per hour. (sh)
