New air/road service from China to Mexico
3PL Dimerco has launched a new product for customers shipping automotive components from Southern China to a common manufacturer in Mexico. The company said in a press release that fifteen manufacturers of the metal stamping and die industry based in Southern China share a customer in Mexico. Dimerco therefore built a new air + road service to provide a customised solution.
Although the shipment was oversized, it took just one week to transport the cargo from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to its destination in Mexico. A strategic partner in Mexico with a selected local cross-border trucking company and partner airlines supported Dimerco’s team in China.
Dimerco added that it used scheduled flights instead of the more expensive charter alternative, which enabled the customers to save 30-40% of their costs. (sh)
