Nadine Pressl wins top prize
In an all-day competition organised by the WKO Steiermark, an Austrian chamber of commerce, the best young professionals in the industry recently showed how they solve logistics challenges professionally and promptly. Six young forwarding experts vied for victory, in an extremely close race.
Nadine Pressl (centre) was finally chosen by the expert jury as the “superstar of the forwarders”. The aspiring forwarding agent is about to take her final apprenticeship exam. Afterwards, she would like to complete a double apprenticeship as a forwarding logistics specialist.
“I joined the forwarding industry almost by chance, but it was a real stroke of luck,” she enthused. What does she particularly like? “Solving problems with communication as quickly as possible, be it on the phone, with colleagues or on the computer.” What does it take to succeed in the industry? “A communicative nature and a thick skin when things get stressful.” (cj)
