More trans-Pacific options in Seattle

Alaska Air Cargo and Hawaiian Air Cargo are launching new long-haul routes from Seattle, expanding their global networks.

From 12 May daily nonstop services will connect Seattle (SEA) with Tokyo Narita (NRT), followed by Seoul Incheon (ICN) in October. Shipments can be booked with both carriers on a single air waybill, enhancing international cargo connectivity. Domestically, expanded widebody capacity will support key markets, including Alaska’s fishing season and increased flights between the West Coast and Hawaii.

“With our combined expertise across the Pacific and the US mainland, we can unlock new opportunities for cargo customers worldwide,” said Ian Morgan, Alaska Airlines’ vice-president for cargo. The airlines are also streamlining cargo operations, reinforcing their role in trans-Pacific airfreight. (ah)
