Diana Shipping, an Athens-based shipping company specialising in dry bulk vessels, has taken over the “MV DSI Pyxis” (formerly “STH Montreal”.
The 2018-built Ultramax dry bulk vessel has a capacity of more than 60,000 dwt. It is one of nine modern Ultramax dry bulk vessels that the company contracted to purchase in August 2022.
Diana Shipping also announced that the same affiliate that finalised the first acquisition will also enter into a time charter contract with Cargill Ocean Transportation Singapore. The charter began on 15 October 2022.
The employment of “DSI Pyxis” is anticipated to generate approximately USD 5.13 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter. (sh)
