More money for the transport sector
Europe’s transport industry is beating the drum in Brussels: 44 European transport organisations, operators, and stakeholders are again joining forces in a campaign to call upon the council and the European parliament to provide for a robust transport funding instrument in the upcoming review of the multi-annual financial framework.
Today (4 April 2024), during the Connecting Europe Days 2024, the sector’s representatives will officially hand over their campaign leaflet to the EU department for mobility and transport (DG Move) in Brussel.
If Europe is to strengthen its resilience, spearhead the shift to net-zero and, finally, complete the Trans-European transport network, it must now put its words into deeds and reflect these ambitions in the EU’s new budget for transport, the partners said. (ben)
