More LNG for Yang Ming
Taiwan-based shipping company Yang Ming will equipped five new 15,000 teu container vessels with dual-fuel LNG power. In a press release, Yang Ming described LNG as a "mature low-carbon alternative" to regular fuel, reducing each unit's gas emissions' footprint by 20%.
The vessels will be compliant with international tools and certificates like the IMO's carbon intensity indicator (CII) for annual decrease in emission intensity, and the “Fit for 55” package, which is part of the European Commission's green deal. (sh)
