More intermodal traffic to Turkey via Trieste
Gruber is strengthening its southern route with a multi-year investment programme in its branch at the port of Trieste (Italy). The initiative focuses particularly on the expansion of intermodal transports to Turkey, Germany, Austria, Italy and the Benelux countries. The carrier has already invested EUR 3.5 million, including the purchase of 100 new trailers, to increase its fleet.
Gruber has been present in the port of Trieste for almost 30 years. One focus of its transhipment activities is on large and heavy loads as well as project cargo such as industrial plants, boilers or silos. With the expansion, the company plans to ship more volumes of other cargo segments via the Italian port hub. (ben)
