MOL to power Poland’s LNG terminal
The shipping company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) will supply a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in Poland's Gulf of Gdańsk. The project is led by Gaz System, Poland's gas transmission system operator, and aims to strengthen the country's energy security.
The FSRU, the first of its kind in Poland, will be moored approximately 3 km from the shore in the port of Gdańsk. Scheduled for completion in 2027/2028, the project involves constructing offshore and onshore infrastructure.
Commenting the charter agreement, MOL emphasised its commitment to sustainable energy and social infrastructure development. (pb)
