MOL strong in H1/2021
In the first six months of its fiscal year 2021 (April to September 2021), MOL reported a surge in revenues by 18.7%, from JPY 485 billion (USD 4.24 billion) to JPY 597 billion (USD 5.22 billion).
From a loss in the same period last year (JPY 4.2 billion/ USD 370 million), operating profit took a leap to JPY 20.4 billion (USD 179 million). At the same time, total assets grew by 13.2% to JPY 2415 billion (USD 21.14 billion). The Japanese carrier’s latest results thus underline the boom currently experienced by shipping companies worldwide. (sh)
