Marlink's innovation for NYK Line
Marlink, a digital solutions company, will extend its smart hybrid network solutions, including the Starlink LEO internet service, to the owned fleet of Japanese shipowner Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK Line).
NYK Line has been using Marlink's services since 2013. After a successful trial of Starlink on two vessels in 2022, NYK Line has engaged Marlink to integrate and manage LEO services within its smart hybrid network.
The focus will be on enhancing crew communications and welfare services while maintaining the high-capacity VSAT provided by Marlink for business needs. (pb)
