Maintaining services to Sardinia

A tender issued by the Italian ministry for sustainable infrastructure and mobility to operate the Civitavecchia–Arbatax–Cagliari route has once again been entrusted to Grimaldi lines.

The frequency of the service remains unchanged – three times a week – with two intermediate calls in the port of Arbatax in both directions. Furthermore, the company will provide additional departures from Civitavecchia to Arbatax on Thursdays and from Arbatax to Civitavecchia on Saturdays in August.

The ro-pax ferry ‘Catania’ will remain continue to serve the route. The Italian-flagged vessel can carry more than 2,200 line metres of rolling freight. (sh)
