Maersk and Syngenta renew ties
Maersk is to remain Syngenta Crop Protection’s 4PL partner for the next five years, renewing their previous eight-year collaboration. Under this extension, Maersk will continue to provide comprehensive logistics along the agtech specialist’s supply chain.
The previous partnership saw the companies navigating disruptions caused by covid and the Red Sea crisis by strengthening supply chain resilience. In the next five years, they will also focus on cutting GHG emissions, with Maersk aiming to achieve net zero by 2040. The collaborators will use emissions reporting and sustainability outcomes as business performance determinants.
As part of the Syngenta Group, the Basel (Switzerland)-based company can leverage Maersk’s network of over 130 countries to strengthen its operations. (mk)
