MAB Kargo provides halal logistics
After having received its halal certification in May, MAB Kargo, a subsidiary of the Malaysia Aviation Group, today, 30 September 2019, has now launched its halal logistics service. To commemorate the launch, MAB Kargo also signed an agreement with their first customers, Sejung Group of Korea, Nippon Express (Malaysia), Labuan Halal Hub and Serunai Commerce to acquire their services.
MAB Kargo CEO Ibrahim Mohamed Salleh: "Our halal logistics is tailored to the needs of the halal industry for reliable, safe and secure air cargo handling. According to a report by the 'International Market Analysis Research & Consulting Group', the global halal food market value is projected to reach USD 2.6 trillion by 2023. We hope to be able to tap into the market to achieve the national target of USD 12 billion halal export by 2020." (ah)
