M&M: a gateway to India
Militzer and Münch has launched a new country unit in India. Based in Mumbai, the office has begun to operate its sea and airfreight services, particularly for customers in the pharmaceutical sector.
Following expansions in Vietnam, Indonesia, Mongolia and Sri Lanka, Militzer & Münch has been growing its presence in the region for some years. This new venture under the name of M&M Militzer and Muench (India) Private Ltd. will seek to serve the country’s growing pharmaceutical industry.
According to the market research firm Mordor Intelligence, India ranked third worldwide in terms of the volume of pharmaceutical products in 2021. Coupled with promising growth rates, this makes the country especially important for trade in the region.
Under the management of Vijay Narayan, the unit aims to be part of India’s growing aviation market. Initially, it will focus on the challenging and time-critical AOG (aircraft on ground) sector as it has previously done in China and Germany. (mk)
