Lyon Xpress now available for intermodal cargo
Belgian railfreight operator Lineas has upgraded its regular train service between Antwerp in Belgium and Lyon in France to include intermodal volumes.
The Lyon Xpress travels three times per week back and forth between the operator’s main hub in Antwerp and the Port Edouard Herriot terminal in Lyon. Furthermore, Lineas is strengthening the stability and punctuality of the connection by insourcing a larger part via the Lineas France team.
The upgraded service allows customers to transport their intermodal and conventional cargo swiftly from Lyon to Antwerp and from there onwards to the rest of the European hinterland or onto deep-sea connections via Lineas’ Green Xpress Network, the carrier said. (ben)
