LX Pantos acquires Georgia hub

LX Pantos has reported it has acquired a logistics centre in Dalton G (USA), as a part of its expansion strategy for the USA.

The 305,000 m² site will strengthen its supply chain capabilities, particularly for Korean manufacturers operating in the region. The acquisition, valued at USD 120 million, was completed through a public-private partnership with Korea ocean business corporation. The facility is positioned as a logistics hub for Korean and global manufacturers, benefiting from Georgia’s infrastructure, including the port of Savannah and rail and road links.

LX Pantos aims to enhance operational efficiency for clients such as LG Electronics and Hanwha Qcells through this move, which is in line with the Korean government’s global strategic logistics hub initiative, supporting the development of owned infrastructure in key markets.

The company also recently established Boxlinks, a joint venture with Ocean Network Express (ONE), to provide intermodal services in North America. (js)
