Low emission locos for Sweden and Norway
The rail vehicle rental company Northrail is purchasing ten ETCS-equipped DE 18 stage V locomotives from Vossloh Rolling Stock. The contract also includes an option for the purchase of ten more units of the same type.
Approved for Sweden and Norway, the first locomotives are to be delivered in H2/2025. With an engine output of 800 kW, the locomotives are suitable for heavy shunting and mainline operations. Their low-emission stage V engines have additional functions that contribute to fuel savings. They are also prepared and approved for the use of synthetic HVO fuel (hydrogenated vegetable oils). (ben)
