Long trucks to travel between Germany and Denmark

Long trucks can transport more goods with fewer journeys, which is making them increasingly popular in Europe.

With immediate effect, German haulage companies can now also use their long trucks in Denmark. The transport ministers of both countries have signed an agreement which allows cross-border use of German long lorries of types 2 to 5 and comparable Danish long lorries.

In Germany, the existing regulations and road safety requirements will continue to apply. Long trucks in Germany can have a length of up to 25.25 m. After the Netherlands, Denmark is already the second neighbouring country with which Germany has concluded such an agreement. (ben)
