Long-haul truck with a hybrid reefer system
The Swedish long-haul forwarder Mangbergs Akeri is electrifying its fleet’s refrigeration systems with support of partner Frigoblock, a brand of Thermo King. The project includes installing FK25 electric refrigeration units on Scania V8 engine trucks, and adding Frigoblock alternator solutions to power the truck-mounted unit and the reefer on the draw-bar trailer.
With this equipment Mangbergs Akeri can lower its environmental impact and experience the benefits of a high-capacity hybrid refrigeration system in its long-haul road-train operations.
The newest Scania truck in Mangbergs Akeri’s fleet, together with the drawbar-trailer, creates a 24 m road train that runs on HVO bio-fuel. (ben)
