Lodz Cargo first to implement I-Cargo

Air France - KLM has chosen the Lodz Airport Central Poland cargo department as the first airport in the world – cargo handling agent - to implement the electronic cargo handling system I-Cargo. This software eliminates the paper versions of the air freight bill by introducing an E-AWB. The transition to an electronic system will allow customers to track their shipments at every stage of the journey.

In March, the employees of the Lodz Airport Central Poland Cargo were trained by the Air France - KLM representatives and the system has been tested. The next airport that will use the I-cargo system will be the Washington Dulles International Airport. (cj)
