LIP Invest buys logistics hub for Röhlig

LIP Invest, the Munich (Germany)-based investor that specialises in logistics real estate, has purchased a new logistics hub in Nettetal near the German-Dutch border. The centre has been leased to Röhlig Logistics for the long term.

On the 61,000 sqm plot, Röhlig intends to manage the e-commerce business of an US provider of household and sanitary products. The lease or sale of more storage capacities is still subject to discussion with other potential customers. With the start of warehousing activities in the autumn, the hub will initially employ a staff of 50.

A rail terminal located close to the industrial estate offers combined rail and truck transport services. In addition, the container terminal in Venlo with its broad range of trimodal transhipment options is 10 km away. The ports of Krefeld and Duisburg and the Düsseldorf airport in Germany are also only 50 km away. (mw)
