Linking up the entire supply chain
DB Schenker wants to collect and analyse the data of its entire supply chain from warehouse to goods transport. To achieve this, the German service provider will use new technologies such as blockchain and the internet of things (IoT).
In future, information about the entire order and delivery process will be available in real time by directly linking all the data points of different IoT devices. In addition to providing consignment tracking in real time, the move should improve route planning efficiency and step up the security and quality of goods transport services.
The company is currently searching for start-up partners at the Vivatech innovation trade fair in Paris. (ben)
