Leschaco attains AEO level 2
Leschaco has gained an authorised economic operator (AEO) certificate for its operations in South Africa. The attained level 2 accreditation is the highest level in the country.
AEO certification is becoming increasingly important in South Africa’s logistics sector. The verification programme contains a CSK competency assessment, an evaluation of operational processes, process flow mapping and an in-depth safety and security check of the entire business model. The audit seeks to ensure that the certified company adheres to high standards of record-keeping and trade security.
Leschaco has already been certified for its operations in Indonesia. “Leschaco South Africa is now a much-deserved AEO trader, which grants us a somewhat elite status together with many other Leschaco subsidiaries,” states Denvor Booysen, customs manager Leschaco South Africa. (mk)
