Laude Smart Intermodal buys four dragon locomotives
Smart Laude Intermodal, the Polish provider of transportation and logistics services, is investing in four new six-axle dragon 2 electric locomotives, two of which can also be powered by diesel. The company recently signed an agreement to that effect with the Polish manufacturer Newag. The locomotives will be delivered in 2020.
This type of engine has a very strong traction force and is therefore suitable for pulling heavy freight trains. The locomotives are also equipped with a silicon carbide converter that ensures a trouble-free and efficient operation even at very high temperatures. (ben)
