Latin American location for Leschaco
In February 2022, the Transantartic S.A.C. (TPL), a freight forwarding company based in Lima, Peru, was taken over by the German logistics group Leschaco (Lexzau, Scharbau).
The Peruvian player had been a part of the Leschaco Group's agent network for more than ten years. TPL was founded in 1998 and specialises in air, sea and land transports as well in project logistics. The business unit will be rebranded into Leschaco Peru.
While the TPL staff will also move under the Leschaco umbrella, Leschaco has hired Cecilia Batallanos as managing director. She has more than 20 years of professional experience in the industry in countries such as Peru, Colombia, Venezuela and Bolivia.
With the new location in Peru, Leschaco is now represented in 23 countries and employs around 2,300 people in 73 own offices worldwide. (sh)
