K + N announces change in executive board
The board of directors of Kuehne + Nagel International has appointed Michael Aldwell to the executive board, effective 1 October 2023. Aldwell will then assume responsibility for the sea freight division and succeed Horst Joachim (Otto) Schacht.
After 26 years of successful work, and a member of the executive board since 2012, Schacht will act as an advisor to the Kuehne + Nagel Group in future, with a focus on sea freight.
Michael Aldwell, a New Zealand citizen, began his career with Kuehne + Nagel in Auckland, New Zealand in 2008. With international leadership experience in Asia, the Middle East and the Americas, most recently as head of the Northeast region in USA in Jersey City, New Jersey, he has been responsible for ocean freight products, sales and marketing worldwide since January 2023, based in Schindellegi, Switzerland.
