K Line Chile – 50 years of experience
The 50th anniversary ceremony, including a traditional sake barrel breaking ceremony, of the company K Line Chile brought together 150 people in Santiago de Chile, among which were His Excellency the Ambassador of Japan to Chile, Kazuhisa Shibuya, and Chilean governmental officials, marine affairs personnel, and local business partners.
The company of the Japanese K Line Group first dispatched staff to Santiago in 1939. This was followed by the establishment of Representaciones Maritimas Kawasaki Chile in 1972, later becoming K Line Chile. It has been providing conventional vessel services along the west coast of South America for many years now.
Today, in addition to the transport of finished automobiles with car carriers and the dry bulk ship agency business, K Line Chile operates Kar Logistics, an all-inclusive automobile logistics service, all over the country. (lh)
