Joining forces to augment intermodal services
MSC and FS Group have signed a MoU to create synergies in logistics. The agreement will initially aim at checking the opportunities and mutual interest to implement a commercial and operational partnership project to develop intermodal services.
FS’s Polo Logistica companies, starting with group leader Mercitalia Logistic, and MSC Group companies, including Medway and Medlog, will be responsible for implementing the memorandum.
This operating cooperation has, among other things, already taken its first steps forward with the launch of a partnership at the Gioia Tauro port terminal on shunting services and rail transport between Gioia Tauro and Interporto Padova in Italy. (ben)
