JD fortifies French portfolio
Jingdong (JD) is expanding its French pickup points and delivery services through its subsidiary Ochama. The omnichannel retail brand is looking to enhance next-day home deliveries and order collections in response to a rapid growth of its business within the French market.
Working with JD Logistics’ warehouse in Paris and its network of suppliers and partners, Ochama delivers fresh food, beauty, and lifestyle products and has recently augmented its portfolio to include more appliances and electronics.
Since 1 September, the expansion has enabled customers to collect their products the day after placing the order. In addition, over 1,000 items can now be ordered for next-day home deliveries.
In the Netherlands, where Ochama was originally launched, and Belgium, the brand operates more than 1,000 pickup lockers. Home deliveries are available in 24 European countries. (mk)
