JD doubles down internationally
JD Logistics is aiming to double its overseas warehouse capacity by the end of 2025 in a move which also involves bonded and direct-mail hubs.
Based on a current network of nearly 100 warehouses worldwide, the logistics provider plans to focus its expansion on Europe and the USA by bolstering local connections. Elsewhere, JD will seek to increase the number of cargo flights from China to Southeast Asia, South Korea, and others.
Additionally, the company aims to extend its international express deliveries from China to around 80 countries or regions by the end of 2024. All in all, these initiatives are set to broaden JD's capabilities in the international market while broadening its reach using automated systems and technology. (mk)
