JAS inaugurates new office in India
The new facility is located in Pune, Maharashtra in Western India. It will further strengthen JAS’ position as logistics provider in the Indian market and marks the establishment of Pune as an independent branch, the company said. JAS Worldwide is a privately owned international freight forwarder and logistics provider.
The company was founded in Milan, Italy, in 1978. From modest beginnings, JAS gradually expanded its offices in Europe and the Far East and by the 1980’s, its network included Milan, Rome, Florence, and Tokyo.
In the 1990s, JAS was moving into North and South America. Today, JAS owns a global network with over 200 offices, 7,000 employees, and is presented in more than 100 countries. The group offers a wide range of multimodal transport and logistics services for many different branches of industry. (ben)
