Italian software goes north
Italian IB group from Rapallo, a provider of ship performance and operation control software, has opened a technical and commercial branch office in Leer, Lower Saxony (Germany). Under the Info Ship brand, it is due to develop and market its Info Ship software in Germany, as well as in other northern European countries.
As a result of a commercial blitz that brought a team of technicians already specialised in the subject under the banner of IB, the Leer operational centre is to become part of the international IB network. The latter includes Cyprus, the Copenhagen office and the Miami cruise-oriented centre.
IB, led by Giampiero Soncini, and recently a part of the Norwegian group Arribatec (see ITJ Daily of 20 November 2020), is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and plans to open further offices in the Far East. (cd)
