Italian forwarder offers new groupage services
Transmec is strengthening its connections between Italy and Germany with new groupage services to and from Tuscany. First to be launched was a twice-weekly link between Prato, near Florence, and Stuttgart, while a second route between Prato and Frankfurt began recently.
Run in conjunction with a specialist German freight partner, the services enhance the group’s links with southern and western Germany, where Transmec has three branches. Prato branch manager, Alessandro Serafini, said: “The service was initially operated via Transmec’s hub at Campogalliano, but it has proved so successful that we decided to run it directly and then add a second location in Germany."
