IRS to focus on "innovating rail"
The 11th International Railway Summit (IRS), which will be organised in association with the International Union of Railways (UIC), will take place in Berlin (Germany) on 30 May – 1 June 2022. The topic will be ‘Innovating rail for people, planet and prosperity’.
The summit’s two-day conference programme will address the most vital challenges in social, environmental and economic sustainability. Many world-class speakers will take part. The keynote speech will be held by Volker Wissing, Germany’s new minister for digital and transport. Under the title ‘Strategic vision for investment in rail and how we can meet climate targets’, he will outline the German government’s plans for sustainable transport. (ben)
