Intermodal terminal opens in chem cluster
The Bertschi Group, a specialist for chemical logistics from Switzerland, completed its new Antwerp Zomerweg Terminal in Belgium recently, after two years of construction. The facility has been put into operation gradually since last summer.
The group reported on the social media platform LinkedIn that initially, as the facility establishes its footing, it will handle liner boxes.
The 60,000 sqm container-handling facility is strategically located on Europe's largest integrated chemical cluster. It offers space for more than 2,500 teu, of which 1,290 teu are intended specifically to store dangerous goods containers from the ADR classes 3; 4.1; 5.1; 6.1; 8 and 9. (ben)
