Intermodal route in Central Asia trialled
ADY Container has delivered the first container block train on the Assaka-Baku route. The block train consisting of 50 containers from the Assaka Logistics Centre in Uzbekistan has already reached the port of Alat.
The 40-foot containers loaded with car parts were transported through the Khojidavlat border station to the Turkmenbashi port in Turkmenistan and from there, via the Caspian Sea, to the port of Alat in Azerbaijan. The cargo is intended for a car factory in Azerbaijan. Ady Container plans to introduce a regular block train service on this route. (ben)
