Integrated hub in the making
The steel frame of a GBP 28 million single site logistics hub that is being built for the aerospace engineering company Leonardo in Yeovil, Somerset (UK) is now complete.
The property will have a surface of 65,000 sqm and is scheduled to be finished by Q4/2022. The project sees the consolidation of eight existing warehouses into one all-encompassing logistics hub.
This high-tech facility will reduce operating costs by combining all logistics under one roof, while maximising the potential of helicopter component logistics. The transformation of the 40,470 sqm brownfield site is still in progress. (sh)
