Inland Port Greer sets record in August
Inland Port Greer, part of South Carolina Ports, set a new cargo record in August, handling 16,857 rail moves, which re a remarkable 52% yoy increase.
Located between Charlotte and Atlanta, Inland Port Greer plays a crucial role in connecting inland markets with the Port of Charleston. Similarly, Inland Port Dillon, located near the North Carolina border and served by CSX, experienced a robust month with 3,439 rail moves, an 83% yoy surge.
While container volumes for August decreased by 9% yoy, South Carolina Ports continues to strengthen its position in the Southeast market. (pb)
