IMRF selects Caroline Jupe

The International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF) has appointed Caroline Jupe as its new chief executive officer with effect from 1 February 2023.

She’ll replace Theresa Crossley, who is retiring next year following a five-year tenure. She’ll remain on board in a support role to help with preparations for the IMRF’s World Maritime Rescue Congress, which will be held in Rotterdam (Netherlands) in June 2023.

Jupe joined the IMRF in 2016 as fundraising manager, before becoming head of fundraising and projects. She has played a key role in developing several IMRF initiatives designed to improve the capabilities and best practices of search-and-rescue organisations around the world.

Dean Lawrence, IMRF chair, underlined how “delighted we are that Caroline emerged as the best candidate from a strong field of applicants.” (cj)
