Improved truck services at Metrans’ Bucs terminal
Metrans has reached another milestone in its ongoing process of modernising the Budapest-Csepel Terminal (Bucs) in Hungary.
The affiliate of HHLA opened a 68-space lorry parking area recently, which further improved truck services at Bucs. This latest construction work has contributed to a 15% increase in storage capacities, which will further contribute to efficiency.
In 2022 the intermodal operator launched an online reservation system for trucks (M Trucks), similar to one that was already available at its hubs in Prague and Ceska Trebova (Czechia) and Dunajska Streda (Slovakia). Metrans previously commissioned a fourth gantry crane at its Bucs terminal in 2022. (ben)
