IAPH conference agenda unveiled

The International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) has announced the agenda of the 2025 World Ports Conference, with registration now open. The event, marking the 70th anniversary of the IAPH, will take place from 7–9 October at the hotel Ōkura Kōbe (Japan).

The theme – ‘Reinvention and prosperity in turbulent times’ – connects with the founding spirit of IAPH and will “reveal the ways in which innovative ports are capturing tangible, sustainable investment returns in a high-risk environment,” as the IAPH stated.

The conference will feature plenary sessions, breakout discussions and special interventions with exclusive insights from senior industry executives and Japanese port authorities. A technical tour will showcase Kobe’s liquefied hydrogen terminal and disaster recovery efforts, following the 1995 earthquake.

Leading up to the event, IAPH and media partner Mercator Media will host webinars addressing key industry challenges, including geopolitical impacts on trade, for example. (js)
