How to tackle Brexit, again
Brexit continues to pose major challenges for transport companies serving routes to UK. With Hegelmann Transport Ferry Service (HTFS), the Hegelmann Group has organised its own solution for logistics companies to help them handle cross-border transport, book ferry, bridge, tunnel and rail transfers and clear their goods through customs.
The company also has access to an authorised shipper location in UK, which reduces waiting times to a maximum of 30 to 60 minutes per truck. HTFS now handles several thousand bookings per month.
Hegelmann has branches in 17 countries and launched the centralised service for its subcontractors and customers almost four years ago. Communication is mainly in English, Russian and Lithuanian. (sh)
