Heppner partnering Gebrüder Weiss again
Heppner wants to step up its air and sea freight business activities. To fulfil this goal the French service provider has established a strategic partnership with the air & sea division of Gebrüder Weiss (GW). The two companies have already been collaborating in the land transport field since 1985.
The new partnership aims to provide customers with good service, maximum agility and a combination of air and sea transport solutions around the world. Heppner’s air and sea freight department manages the transport of over 25,000 containers by sea and 15,000 t of airfreight per year. Austria-based GW transports over 115,000 containers by sea and 58,000 t of airfreight per year.
The new partnership, which will be fully implemented by the end of 2019, enables Heppner to augment its air and sea transport activities through additional foreign locations, especially in Western Europe and Africa. (mw)
