Hellmann launches new weekly Silk Road train
Hellmann has introduced a new weekly train between Chongqing (China) and Bremen (Germany). The first train recently arrived at the Roland Umschlagsgesellschaft Terminal in Bremen. The new service follows an increasing demand for train connections between Europe and Asia. Transit time is 20 days.
Hellmann has been operating roundtrip rail services from Duisburg and Hamburg to Chongqing since 2013. In order to enhance the quality of this service, Hellmann is currently working with Chinese train operator Yuxinou to expand onward transports in Asia and with logistics provider Roland Umschlagsgesellschaft to improve connections within Germany and the rest of Europe.
